Olga Biantovskaja was born in Leningrad in 1941. After finishing the Art School connected
to the I.E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under the USSR Academy
of Arts she became a student of the Graphic Art Faculty of the said Institute.
Since the graduation from Institute she became a member of the Union of Soviet Artists in 1967.
Olga Biantovskaja has been engaged in book illustrations, book design, posters, prints, painting and industrial graphic design. She participated in more then 160 National, Respublican, Regional and International exhibitions.
The main of them: 1967 - "50 years Soviet Art School" (Moscow, Leningrad); 1979 - IV Republican Poster Exhibition (Leningrad); 1981 - VI All-union Poster Exhibition (Moscow); 1983 - 225 years anniversary of the Russia Academy of Arts (Leningrad, Moscow); 1987 - Republican Exhibition of Prints (Irkutsk); 1991 - I Republican Exhibition of Show Posters; 1991 - 100 years of Book Illustrations in St.-Petersburg; 1994 - "The Golden Found" Art Union Collection (St.-Petersburg); 1997 - "125 years of S. Diaghilev"; 1998 - "65 years of St.Petersburg Union of Artists".
The artist personal exhibitions were held in Leningrad - St.-Petersburg in 1975, 1981, 1982, 1989, 1990. Several works of Olga Biantovskaja were included in the collections of the following museums: The Scientific Museum Academy of Arts USSR -Russia (St.Petersburg); The State Russian Museum (St.Petersburg); The State A. S. Pushkin Museum (St.Petersburg); The State Theatre Museum named by h. A. Lunacharskij (St.Petersburg); The State Theatre Museum named by h. M. Bachruschin (Moscow), The Art Gallery (Tver); The State Library named by h. Saltykov-Shedrin (St.-Petersburg); The State Library named by h. V. Lenin (Moscow), The Gallery of Moravia (Brno, Slovakia); The Museum of Modern Art (Toyama, Japan); the Museum of Modern Art (Ogaki, Japan); The City University of New York Collection (USA); The Museum of the Decoration Art Library (Copenhagen, Denmark); the Poster Lahti Museum (Finland); The Collection of Los-Angeles Polytechnic Institute (USA) and in others museums and private collections in Russia and others countries.
Also Olga Biantovskaja have had the honour to be a member of the Leningrad Art Council of Industrial Graphic Design, a member of presidium Graphic Branch of the Union of Russian Artists (St.Petersburg) and a jury member of several exhibitions.
Her best beloved works are the following: Illustrations - "Peter the First" (A. Tolstoy); lit. - "My Bulls with golden horns" - V. Maximov (1989); ballet poster - "The Swan Lake"; "House in Kolomna" (A.S. Pushkin); pictorial art - "The enchanting St.-Petersburg" cycle; The State Emblem of Murmansk city.
The main part of her theatre poster were made for The State Kirov Ballet of Mariinsky Theatre, St.-Petersburg.
